The Richmond County Health Department will be administering flu and pneumonia vaccines beginning Wednesday, Oct. 19. Anyone may receive vaccines Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. No appointments are necessary. Insurance cards are required at check-in.

RCHD files the following insurances: BCBS, Cigna, ChampVA, Medcost, Medicare Part B, Railroad Medicare Part B, NC Medicaid, Wells Fargo, United Healthcare, and First Carolina Care. The cost of flu vaccines will be $33 and pneumonia vaccines will be $115 if individuals do not have insurance.
