COUNTRY BREAKFAST will be from 6:30 to 10 a.m. at Pee Dee Methodist Church in Rockingham. Price is $6 for three meats, grits, sausage gravy and homemade biscuits and is all-you-can-eat.

August 22

RICHMOND COUNTY DEMOCRATIC WOMEN will meet at 6 p.m. in the jury assembly room of the Richmond County Judicial Center in downtown Rockingham.

MINERAL SPRINGS IMPROVEMENT COUNCIL will have their regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the Neighborhood Service Center on Railroad St. in Ellerbe. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

August 23

HAMLET HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1959 will meet for lunch at noon at Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Que in Rockingham.

2016 SEABOARD FESTIVAL APPLICATIONS will be accepted until Sept. 1 and can be found at www.SeaboardFestival.com. After this date, applications are subject to a $25 late fee. Information about the 5K race and car show can also be found on the website.

GRACE SENIOR CENTER is sponsoring a one day trip to Shatley Springs in Crumpler, North Carolina. The group will visit the cheese factory, tour the Blue Ridge Parkway and visit Deal’s Apple Orchard. RICHMOND COUNTY DUCKS UNLIMITED GREENWING FISHING EVENT will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 220 McKinney Lake Road, Hoffman. Tickets are $20 per child and must be accompanied by an adult.
