Rockingham church welcomes new pastor

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 217 Midway Road, Rockingham, is pleased to announce the Rev. Mike Moreau as its new pastor.

Mike graduated from the Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte in 2002 and was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America in 2004. He served in youth ministry from 1998 to 2000 and 2002 to 2004; then as pastor in the North Carolina cities of Murphy and Belmont.

Mike has been married to his wife, Georgia, for 30 years and they are the proud parents of three adult children; Michael (29), Peter (28) and Rachel (23). Georgia has been a Spanish teacher for 27 years and will be teaching in the Richmond County Public School System.

Pastor Moreau says he is very happy to be starting a new ministry at Covenant and excited to be working with the various ministries and reaching out to the residents of Richmond County. He extends a big hearty welcome for everyone to join the church for its Sunday school service at 9 a.m. and worship service at 10 a.m. on Sundays.
