ROCKINGHAM HOUSING AUTHORITY AND ASHA B’S CLOSET will celebrate male role models in the community with a fun field day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Falling Creek Recreational Park. The main attraction will be a family obstacle course with top prizes of $100 and bragging rights. There will also be bounce houses, free food while supplies last, face painting and games. The event is free and open to the public.

LAWNMOWER RACING will take place at the Ellerbe Lions Club lawnmower track with gates opening at 4 p.m. and racing starting at 7 p.m.

6TH ANNUAL STRIKE OUT AUTISM will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at Striker’s Bowling Alley, 1010 East Broad Ave., Rockingham. Cost is $15 per person, and there will be a 50/50 raffle. TOWN OF HOFFMAN SUMMER ENRICHMENT CAMP will be held from June 20-Aug. 4 at the Hoffman Complex Center, 2176 Caddell Road. The camp will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday. CUB SCOUTS OF THE PEE DEE DISTRICT will offer a summer day camp from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 20-24 at Fellowship United Methodist Church in Hamlet. This year’s theme is “Cub Scout Games,” and participating Scouts will train to be champions in camping, science, cooking and more, all while learning about sportsmanship, teamwork, fair play and doing their best. Richmond County Schools has partnered with the Cub Scouts to provide a nutritious breakfast and lunch for all campers. The cost of the camp is $50 and includes a T-shirt, patch, snacks and supplies.
