Last weekend, everyone tuned in for the Super Bowl. Almost everyone in our county held on to the hope of the Carolina Panthers’ victory.

Our North Carolina team has recently been unstoppable. Many half-priced pizzas later, we finally reached the Super Bowl for the second time since 2003. Super Bowl Sunday is the day many people get together to see the big game, enjoy food and fellowship and take in a show like none other.

Unfortunately our pounding, publicized Panthers lost against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Which leaves us all somehow questioning the game and its outcome.

Some say the refs were in the Broncos’ corner, making questionable calls that shifted the momentum. Many people believe the overhyped team ruined it for themselves with little practice.

Yet, the Carolina Panthers have done great good for their supporting fans. Quarterback Cam Newton has been giving away footballs to a few younger fans since his career started in 2011. With his team now joining in, he has made many young football fans extremely happy.

Along with the game was a great halftime show with help from Coldplay, Beyoncé and Bruno Mars. So, don’t let this Panthers loss get you down. We are looking forward to a rematch in the 2017 Super Bowl. Keep pounding.
