ROCKINGHAM — Business leaders and Richmond County Chamber of Commerce members gathered June 6 to celebrate the grand opening of Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial.
A large crowd joined members and staff of Modern Woodmen to cut the ribbon for their new offices located at 230 E. Franklin St. in downtown Rockingham. Chamber President Emily Tucker welcomed guests to begin the ceremony. Speakers for the ceremony included Chamber Board Chairman Evans Sheppard, Richmond County Commissioner Don Bryant and Chris Turner, the managing partner for Modern Woodmen.
Modern Woodmen of America bills itself as a company that offers fraternalism in addition to financial services. The member-owned company was founded in 1883.
Joining Turner in his new office will be staff members Jennifer Wrenn, Michelle Denson, Donna McDuffie and Bryon O’Neal.
“We’re pleased to have a hometown native choose Rockingham as a location to do business and very excited to have them as a chamber member,” Tucker said in a statement. “We wish Chris and his staff much success in their new location.”
