COUNTRY BREAKFAST from 7 to 10 a.m. at Spring Hill Wesleyan Church, Spring Hill Church Road, Hamlet. All-you-can-eat buffet for $5. Carry-out plates are available. Call 910-582-5150. Funds raised will go for future projects, missions and those in need.

RICHMOND COUNTY WRITERS’ CLUB will meet at 3 p.m. at The Hive Recreation Center, 107 Mill Road, Rockingham. Those attending are asked to bring some of their work to read or tell the group about.

BLOOD DRIVE by the American Red Cross from 3 to 7:30 p.m. at Jefferson Park Free Will Baptist Church, 308 Forrest St., Rockingham.

ROCKINGHAM HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1959 will not meet for lunch in July.

July 12

PANCAKE BREAKFAST sponsored by the East Rockingham United Methodist Church Men’s Club from 7 to 10 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. The charge is $4 for all you can eat. A sweets and craft sale will be held at the same time.

CELEBRATION FOR VETERANS OF THE U.S. ARMED FORCES from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Boyd Lake National Guard Armory on Veterans Drive in Hamlet. There will be music and plenty of food. Short speeches will be by leaders of the community. Donations made this event possible. PUPPET LOVE MINISTRIES at 9:45 a.m. at Glenwood United Methodist Church, 189 County Home Road, Rockingham. Puppet Love Ministries has been in puppet ministries for more than 20 years with its own TV program based in Florence, S.C. Children and their parents are encouraged to attend.

ANNUAL EASTERLING FAMILY REUNION will be held at 1 p.m. at the Roberdell United Methodist Church. All descendants of Archie Easterling (1853-1916) and Effie Jones Easterling (1885-1927) are encouraged to bring their family and a picnic lunch and join for a time of fellowship and reminiscence.
