Robert F. “Frank” Pence, III, 69, of Rockingham, N.C., died Friday, October 11, 2013 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
He was born February 16, 1944 in Richmond County a son of the late, Robert Franklin Pence, Jr. and Margaret Ussery Pence. Mr. Pence was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and also an employee with Swink Quality Oil Company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Reddick.
Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Shirley Lovett Pence; a son, William David Munn of Cordova; daughters, Shelia Munn Watson of Rockingham and Nicole Munn McCormick of Pinebluff; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters, Jane McCall of Hamlet and Marcella Louge of Santee, SC; brothers, Bill Pence of Rockingham, Nick Pence of Hendersonville, and John Pence of Middlesex; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 14 at Joy Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. June Grant officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 13 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham.
